First off the Seattle airport is a giant pain. We had a very long walk to the baggage area and then there was a real confusing route to find the hotel shuttle. Two different elevators had to be found. We were helped tremendously by an employee of Holland America who put our bags on his cart and took us to the shuttle area. We were NOT on his cruise line but he helped us anyways. Where were your people Norwegian?

The Norwegian Jewel is a decent ship. We were struck by the difference in the professionalism of the crew when compared to Royal Caribbean. If we had never traveled with RC there probably would have been no problem but, we have and there was. It was just a lot of little things. Dirty dishes left on tables, wrinkled napkins, requests had to be made for table items, vanishing waiters, mediocre food for the most part, waiters who didn't know what was in the "Drink of the Day", waiters who vanished in the lounges, zero knowledge of the cigars in the cigar lounge, unhumidified humidor, the guys in the fitness room were very unfriendly, noticeable areas of rust and rusty nuts and bolts, and on and on. As I said if this had been my first cruise I probably wouldn't have taken notice BUT my wife and I have come to expect more and we get the higher level on Royal Caribbean

The cruise itself was great. Beautiful weather and a top job by the Captain and his people. The shows were fine as well. In an industry that is this competitive it is the little things that make the difference and it is these lack of caring for these little things that will stop me from cruising Norwegian again.

Nice spot actually. Near elevators and theater. Very quiet except for our neighbor who was convinced she could sing. She could not. I would take this cabin again, no problem.
