This was my first cruise, and it was a solo cruise. I do not have any standards to compare, but that being said, this is what I thought of the ship and cruise. First, the Serenity adults only area on the back of the ship was fabulous. It was never completely full, and in the morning and evening it was almost empty. There was shade, sun, hot tubs, and good attention for drinks from the staff. The dining room food was quite good, although seasoned cruisers at our table found it somewhat lacking compared to other ships. I especially enjoyed an Asian tasting bar outside of the casino area. There was coffee, tea (bagged), and lemonade early and late. The staff was excellent in every respect.

I loved the track on the top of the ship! Not well-utilized during the early morning, so it was a bit of a private workout, which was fabulous.

The ship had lots of activities, but they are oriented towards game shows, comedy, and dancing. These aren't particular interests of mine, so I didn't really make use of many of these events. I was on the ship with the national dance competition, and met many dancers and their families. Their end of competition show was wonderful. FYI: Even though there were lots of these young dancers on the ship, it was no issue at all. I wouldn't hesitate to book a dance competition ship again with Carnival.

Cabin Review

A great deal for a solo traveler. The bottom twin bunk is made up, the other bunk is stowed, and it seems to be a lot of room - plus a price break even on the interior inside rate.
