Took Van to NYC port parking was available but much easier to be dropped off and picked up. We arrived at 10:30 am. No delay dropped bags with porter went thru security no issue and walked up to register. We had preregistered so it was very fast. Group #11 to board. Relaxed looked over specialty restaurants spa info etc. We are both 60 and took our 9 yr old granddaughter with us. Got on boards about 1130.
We explored the ship located out cabin 11 deck mid ship. Mini suite with balcony. Good storage no drawers but plenty of shelves. All 3 of us unpacked stored suitcases under bed. Had King size bed and a pull out . Large bathroom two sinks large shower. Cabin 11788 good location.
Explored the ship located all important locations loads of restaurants. Bars every few feet. Pools were OK can get wet no children in main pool. That means 60 yr old had to swim in kiddee pool with granddaughter.
We ate in Brazilian Restaurant on Manhatten room only., Food was pretty More
good. If you were in a hurry to make a show etc tell the waiter they make it happen. Took a tour of ice bar $20 each (kids 10) pretty wild. Shows were good very entertaining in theater, Atrium, many choices. Kids Bowling alley, arcade, Water slides. Teen club, outdoor movie on big screen.... All in all only issue was seats by the pool if u want one get up towel and item holds it for you. Disembarkation was pretty easy. We elected to carry off at 845 am. Worked well right thru customs across street to van and off to home.
Bermuda was good we were three 3 days. I would suggest buy transportation pass buss or ferry takes u everywhere u want to go. Went to horseshoe beach. Nice beach. Bring cash rent couple chairs there are facilities there to change rest room food drink etc. It is about 25 minute bus ride. We went into Hamilton ate lunch and shopped...Next day took ferry to St George. Explored the town took horse buggy ride saw a lot of the area with explanation by the drive. $50 ..Ate lunch at Tradewind a local deli., took ferry back to ship. Day 3 went to beach in Navy Yard wher eour ship was docked. Two issues sma;; beach get there early or NO CHAIRS TO RENT. Beware the area is rocky need beach shoes. Also facilities there rest rooms foor booze etc. Of course there is shopping around the Dock yard. Overall this trip 2 days at sea to Bermuda/ 3 days there and two days back to NYC. Restaurants you need to make reservations Pretty easy to eat early about 6pm. Buffet is pretty good breakfast lunch late night snack. We had fun enjoyed everyday. WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS CRUISE.
