Flew into Venice a few days early prior to departure. Stayed at a little hotel ( Hotel Tivoli ) in the heart of Venice which was perfect for our needs.

Bus from the airport then valporetto to the hotel and used for the next 2 days ( buy the package ). Once we checked out of the hotel we walked to the people mover to get to the ship. Embarkation was simple and easy. On the ship by noon, in our cabin by 1pm. Cabin 6301 aft was comfortable offering lots of storage space, washroom with good size shower. Balcony is about 20 sq ft larger than average, with unobstructive view if looking directly out. With the speciality restaurant directly below the canopy blocks you from looking down to the ocean. Room was very peaceful at all times. Our attendant was personable and did a very good job keeping our room spotless. He was also very respectful of our privacy.
