Celebrity Equinox Cruise Review by ayrhead: Wonderful in all aspects

Wonderful in all aspects
Flew into Venice a few days early prior to departure. Stayed at a little hotel ( Hotel Tivoli ) in the heart of Venice which was perfect for our needs.
Bus from the airport then valporetto to the hotel and used for the next 2 days ( buy the package ). Once we checked out of the hotel we walked to the people mover to get to the ship. Embarkation was simple and easy. On the ship by noon, in our cabin by 1pm. Cabin 6301 aft was comfortable offering lots of storage space, washroom with good size shower. Balcony is about 20 sq ft larger than average, with unobstructive view if looking directly out. With the speciality restaurant directly below the canopy blocks you from looking down to the ocean. Room was very peaceful at all times. Our attendant was personable and did a very good job keeping our room spotless. He was also very respectful of our privacy.
The Equinox is a beautiful ship. Clean and upscale, well laid out.
Food was very good overall with just one or More two misses with morning dining room foods. Ate every night in the dining room. Excellent choices every night. Had the classic beverage package which offered nice perks like speciality coffee, juices, waters, wines, drinks, smoothie's etc......loved it!!
Did all ports "on our own " as prices are steep on the ship, with the exception of our day for Rome where there was a one day rail strike which through me a curve ball but Celebrity stepped up with extra buses to get us from the port to Rome ( 90 minute drive ) and we paid to ensure we enjoyed the city.
Staff on board at all levels were fantastic with plenty to do ( if you wish ) all the time.
