Seabourn Legend Cruise Review by Mgsrcs: Close to perfect
Close to perfect
This was our second Seabourn cruise so that is what we are comparing it to.
Pro- Fabulous food in main dining room. Every meal there was outstanding.
Excellent staff in both cabins and restaurants.
Rooms were excellent- we were on level 4
Captain did superb job in rough seas.
Ports of call were interesting and fun and geautiful.
Cons- this is very much nit picking but the staff pushed the wine selection at lunch and dinner when we told them we were " no alcohol". They did have alcohol free champagne in our suite which was a positive. On our last cruise the wait staff remembered our drink preferences but not this time.
This is a bigger "con"- the ship had plumbing problems. While our suite had slow drains that were fixed immediately our friends actually had waste Water back up from their toilet flooding their bathroom. It too 2 days to fix and to date, they have not received an apology or comment let alone credit for this. More I Would have expected a cruise line of this caliber to be " all over" this . As we disembarked in Barcelona many people were complaining about no hot water, however we had no problem in our suite.
Another negative was that the people on board with info about each port ( the local people they hired) were not so well informed as they should be about the port town.
Food in Restaurant 2 - The Veranda- was not very good on the night we ate there. We ended up doing dessert and coffee in the main dining room. breakfast and lunch was excellent.
Wifi was awful.
Bottom line- will we cruise again on Seabourn? Absolutely! But not on one of the Ships they sold to Windstar, as this one was. We are looking forward to trying one Of the newer ships. Less
