This is a must do if you are interested is seeing a variety of ports. We went to Barcelona 2 days early. There is so much to do and see that we should have gone earlier. Barcelona Day Tours is a great resource. I put more about them on Trip Advisor.

We stayed at Hotel Principal, a small hotel near LaRumbla. Reasonably priced, good breakfast and location.Rooms were clean. We had room 418.Large bathroom and 2 beds. Nothing fancy,but did overlook the side street.A 10 minute taxi ride had us at port. Another 10 minutes had us on ship. We arrived about 11am,tour the ship ,ate lunch,and our room was ready. Very smooth.We had an inside room that seemed more spacious that others we had. Bathroom very nice and roomy(for a ship) Equinox had just come out of drydock,with new carpet installed throughout.

Our experience on board was pleasant. This is a very port intensive cruise and the personel did an excellent job of getting 2400 people on and off the ship. We did take some tours from the ship,but discovered on cruise critic you could meet up with others and book through local tour companies. There you had much smaller groups of 10-12. Just sign up on cruise critic for the log of your date cruising.We met wonderful people and the price was about 2/3 of the ships price.My husband and I were traveling alone, so it was a great way to meet people.
