Sail Date: Mar 2014

Booked this cruise 11 days before sailing when I discovered that my husband had off for spring break and my mom offered to watch our kids. I just needed to get out of the miserable winter that wouldn't end. Sailed on March 30. We drove to Baltimore that morning and had a relaxing lunch before arriving at the pier at around 2 pm. There were no lines at this time and we were on board the ship by 2:45. Went to our cabin (inside deck 6) right away then went to explore the ship. Let me say that we are not the drinking/party types. We are both in our early 40s and just wanted a relaxing time away together. First vacation alone in 10 years.

The first day at sea was cloudy and a bit rocky so husband and I spent most of the day just hanging out, playing cards, taking a nap, etc. We did go to the cooking demo for the steakhouse restaurant which was very good. You get little samples of what they were making and the cheesecake was the best I've ever had! By the second day at sea, weather was sunny and warm enough to hang out outside.

In Grand Turk, we got chairs by the pool at the cruise center and did some swimming and shopping. Checked out the Splashdown Grand Turk monument as well. Had an enjoyable day.
