Wonderful cruise on the Breeze. This was our 10th cruise and our 5th of Carnival. So far the Breeze is my favorite Carnival ship. We flew into Ft Lauderdale from Baltimore because airfare was cheaper with Southwest- also no fee for luggage. We booked a $15 pp transfer with SAS transportation that picked us up from the airport and drove the 1/2 trip to the ship. We arrived close to noon. Embarkation went very smoothly and we were on the ship eating lunch on the lido deck by 12:30. I am not one to normally discuss ship decor but this ship was a pleasant surprise. Its' decor is caribbean beach. This is Carnival's largest ship and the layout is the best by far. Many places to sit or lay out in sun or shade. Several outside areas have circular tables with umbrellas. We never had a problem with finding a suitable place to hangout.

There are several pools, two large water slides, an obstacle course, mini golf and an outside theater. Many activities nicely spread out. We favored the nightly adult trivia in the Red Frog Pub and finally won one night. We choose the fishbowl rum drink over the 110 oz beer as our prize. First time we actually won something other than a ship on a stick! We never got the chance to see the comedy show as people would line up an hour prior to start time. Didn't help that it was held in the Limelight lounge which was not big enough to accommodate enough people.

The food at the Lido deck other than breakfast was surprisingly good and varied for a change. We were surprised though that it closed earlier than in the past. Guy's burgers were good and popular. We found the Tandoori was exceptionally good and never had a line. Maybe because it was outside in the back. Another good eat was the Blue Iguana burrito and taco bar. We never had a wait on the taco side. I was not too impressed with the Fat Jimmy's C-side BBQ. Long line in direct sun for so so BBQ. Main dining was good as well. Interestingly, we were sat at a six person table that consisted of three couples. Each of us were on a free cruise offered either by Carnival or through the Casino on Carnival's ships.

Cabin Review

We liked the Cove Balcony. Plenty of shade yet still has a good view. Close enough to the water to hear the sea foam from the waves.
