I decided to take my an 11yr old daughter on her first cruise and some father/daughter time considering she lives 6 hours away. Some background info This was my sixth cruise( 2nd on Carnival and 4 other were on Royal Caribbean). I flew into Orlando and drove into Port Canaveral. I used the Park n cruise across from the Radisson. And total charge was 28.95. Which is where I met my daughter, From the time we got on the bus to the time we boarded the ship took about 45 minutes and majority of that time was traffic getting to the shuttle bus drop off point. So embarkation was very quick and efficient. We got onboard about 1:30 pm so our rooms were already ready. I had a obstructed view interior #6102. Its was on the sixth floor directly at the front of the ship with a partially blocked window. The room layout was nice we had twin beds which was enough for me and my daughter. My daughter put on her bathing suit under her shorts and we headed towards the Lido deck and pool area. Ok while the ship is easy to figure out navigating was like going thru a web...U couldnt really walk from the front to the rear without having to zig zag or go up or down a floor. Ok the food; The Lido buffet food was not the best..I personally think it was mainly due the food never really being hot...Most all items were lukewarm and/or cold. The main dining room was even worse..We sent our food back several times due to it being cold. Now Guys Hamburger was great and The Blue Iguana Cantina was awesome as well. The crew and staff were very friendly and nice however and I give them an A+ The entertainment was pretty good as well. Now as far as the main pool and hot tubs it was taken over by kids and the only saving grace was the Serenity adult are which is very nice. The water park and waters work is awesome and overall the ship was nice, The only other issue was the first night out the boat really rocked and swayed to the point you could barely walk.My daughter and I did the Tatino Beach break which was very nice. The food at the resort was excellent and there plenty of lawn chairs and space so we never felt crowded. Enjoyable day and enjoyable cruise
