We are 60+ with mobility problems flew from Brisbane to embark.Had a handicap inside cabin .Took mobility scooter with me .For those who do not know, airlines take these for free as long as you prebook them, many people asked me about this. Saves someone pushing you around in a wheelchair which is very hard work for your carer.Cabin clean and roomy though very worn.Water in open shower covered bathroom as did not flow out easy.
Embarkation was quick went to windjammer for lunch extremely crowded hard to find table as everyone waiting for cabin very hard to negotiate way around when you can hardly walk no help was offered ,food very ordinary.
Tried to keep away from Windjammer to hard for me to get around and not fare to husband to fetch everything for me.Food was fair when we did go there.
Dining room good, breakfast hot but not much variety in hot food did not have to wait too long for table.Same at lunch ,good choices excellent salad bar good service. Dinner we really enjoyed had early sitting and after first night were able to go straight to our table Marvelous wait staff could not do enough for us felt like friends.Food amazing great choices for us.
Otherwise very disappointing.Did not like packs of young children roaming the ship unsupervised very dangerous to all, running up and down steps ,playing games on lifts pushing each other off as the doors closed, screaming and shouting to each other, parents mostly did not care as long as children left them alone.Young ones sitting at the bar itself with parents we found very nasty.Plenty of other seating so there was no need.
Cruise did not cater to mature people so be aware, families great nothing for us.Some shows at night very good but again kids crying and carrying on spoilt them.
Public toilets often not cleaned regularly no paper towels or soap considering we were told washy washy all the time.Water on the floor was nasty to step through staff did not seem to care.
Guest relation very poor queries met with shrugs of shoulders and could not care less attitude.
Would not recommend this cruise to people with disabilities or like a more refined entertainment not Shrek.
Even the daily 3D movies were for kids nothing for us unless you wanted to pay $12.95 in your cabin. No Australian news once at sea only England or America.YUK.
Day trips no good for us in Suva I had to crawl up the steps of the bus as they were so high, the seats had all been taken by young families and not one offered their seat to older people making them go to the back of a 65 seater bus horrible. No one ever taught them any respect. We cancelled our trip for the next day as felt I could not cope with it.ALL very disappointing except for the dining room.
