Ship Facts: Carnival Breeze Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Breeze Deck Plans
Nice ship, good ports.

This is my 5th cruise with Carnival.

We picked this ship because of timing/price and Breeze being a new ship.

Embarkation was really fast, got into the building by 11 and on the ship by 11:45.

They even had our rooms ready by 12:30... excellent job Breeze.  Our room steward was friendly he greeted us first evening and asked if we needed anything.  He was efficient and had our room ready twice a day when we were out on the ship.  We loved the ship and the new decor. Glad Carnival moved past bright neon colors/lights.

This is rather large ship with almost 3K customers + 1K staff.  We only noticed crowds at pool and lack of chairs at main pools.  Otherwise food lines were not that bad.

First night we found out our table was in a really odd space.  We sat nice to very nice family from Canada but we could NOT stand the location.  There was a window but late dinning means nothing to see outside.   Other 3 sides were covered with wall so you feel like enclosed on a restaurant on shore...  We requested a change and they put us in the main dining area and we loved that place.  Dinning staff Mr. Pedro and Mr. Santos were great.  Carnival has started calling everyone by name so they always talked to us by first name.  Service was prompt and efficient.  I would say dinning room staff was on top 10% of service we have had on Carnival.  We tried multiple appetizers and entries (Though 2 entries are too much to finish).  Food was very good. We didn't try specialty dining.

Shows were very good too. Liked the Divas one night and Latin nights other time. Good singers/dancers.  If you get a chance to sit lower lever close to stage it's a different experience vs. balcony.  Carnival has moved the late show time to 9:30 PM (with late dining 8:15:9:30 or so) there is not much time to cross length of ship and find seats...  One can catch early show before dinner but with formal nights/pictures that was not possible.  Comedian/juggler show was nice too. During the day Hasbro game show is worth going to.

I loved how they have expanded the lido deck and sports deck. I always walked on the jogging track watching sports activities (they had organize volleyball, dodge ball etc.), Mini golf is very nice too.  Rope course was not open MOST of the time which was disappointing.  Water park is on the other side of pool covering 2 levels, very nice. Enjoyed the Drainpipe ride.

I remember in 2000 ships didn't have that many activities for small kids, now they have their own water park very nice.

We were on deck 6 and below us was open area. One nice thing Carnival did is add the wrap around deck extending quite far. One benefit I can see is no one will fall overboard :-) May be broken bones but not in the ocean!.

There are at least 6 hot tubs so you can find a spot even with this many people on board.

Market place buffet always had variety of food but my favorite was Guy's burger and BlueIguana.  First day we also tried Tandoor (nice variety of India food).

Overall very nice cruise experience, Carnival met all the expectations and we had a fun time.

Though as my son commented everything seems the same (food, shows) after taking 3 cruise in last 3 years. Time to wait for new ship Vista or try another cruise company for a change.

Port reviews listed below, we didn't use Carnival excursions as they were expensive.

Grand Turk - no need for excursion of you just want to relax, everything is free right there as this area is controlled by Carnival.

Ocho Rios - We wanted to do Blue Hole which was not available via Carnival.

Grand Cayman - Wanted to snorkel/Stingray and used Capt. Marvin which I had used 10 years back.

Carnival has price match guarantee but it's not worth the hassle as some excursions are not exactly same.

Debarkation - We were not in a hurry so we got zone 30, had minimal carry on and rest of bags were put out previous night. We got breakfast and emptied cabin by 8:30. Waited at pool lido deck till 10:30 when we were called. Luggage was ready once we got out. Nice job.

Overall very fun cruise...
