We started off our cruise with waiting on the doctor for stitches for my oldest son. We watched people slip all over the water slide area. One woman was knocked out cold. My son went down the slide while we were still in port waiting to sail, slipped getting out and ended up with stitches just above his eye. It was a guest who came to his rescue, while the crew watched. We had to grab someone and ask for help. The doctor had the audacity to tell us we wouldn't be charged for the stitches!!

Thank goodness we had a large suite with an adjoining room. Cabins are old and extremely small. The pool is way to small for the size of the boat. Kids were bored during the days at sea. Kids bingo was one game...took 3 minutes...literally. If you want to see a show, go very very early to get a seat or you won't get in. On the last day sailing back to Charleston something happened to the pool and it needed to be drained. Food service was okay and our waiter was excellent. He made very good wine recommendations.

We booked an excursion through a third party in Nassau. It was raining and Carnival announced all of the excursions were canceled. We went on our snorkel trip out of Stuart Cove and had a blast! We talked with fellow passengers when we got back. The Carnival excursion was the exact same trip. They were extremely upset to find out it really wasn't canceled. Charleston needs to address their port. We parked in an old warehouse, squashed into smelly shuttle vans and driven further away from our car than if we had just walked from the ship. Disappointing and definitely will not go back with Carnival.

Cabin Review

Old, dated. So glad we spent the money for a grand suite to get the balcony. We had better views from our balcony than the decks. The adjoining room was exceptionally dated and smaller than most other newer ships.
