Ship Facts: Carnival Glory Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Glory Deck Plans
Less than I had hoped.

This was our first cruise with Carnival. Overall, though, it was our 14th.

Getting on the boat: Very well done.

Service: Fantastic with regards to room steward and support personnel.

Bars: We really had only two choices if we didn't want to be outside or with the cigar smokers. That would be Alchemy and the lobby bar. Alchemy we loved Violeta and Richard. The waiter tried to make drinks but didn't know how, so we complained and that didn't happen anymore. Alchemy is limited because they can only really make the menu items. So many things they don't stock. At the lobby bar, they just didn't know how to mix drinks and they were also quite limited on booze. Really.

Entertainment: We went to a comedy show. Quite bad.

Dining: We had anytime type dining and met some really nice people. The regular dining room had limited choices and most were bland to the point of tasteless. The only dishes with any seasoning were the Italian dishes. Even deserts were bland. How do you make a berry pie taste like cardboard? We ate at the steakhouse twice. Both times my steak was bland and tasteless. My wife agreed, though hers was better. The chef came out and asked and I told him the above. His comment was asking if it was cooked to the correct temperature. That's it.

Cabin: We had a grand suite. The nicest and biggest cabin we have ever had. Really nice.

Getting off the boat: Probably the easiest and best of any cruise we have been on. Then we found out that there was a marathon going on and we had to wait for a cab for a very long time.

Excursions: Well done and we really enjoyed them all. Especially the tour of St. John. What a delightful little island.
