This was a very good cruise. Holland America did a great job, transported 2000+ guests through the Caribbean and the crew maintained a great attitude through the entire trip. Everyone was just as pleasant on Day 7 as they were on Day 1. The food was very good, and service was outstanding. Our waiters were very attentive, food arrived quickly each night.
The experience which did not meet out expectations was that the HAL arranged bus/ transfer (from Miami airport to Ft. Lauderdale) broke down en route, and while we waited for another bus to transport us to the ship, discovered the small toilet on the bus was rusty and had no toilet paper. It took over 2 hours to reach the ship (usually 30-40 minutes).
When we boarded, our room was clean and ready for us. Our luggage arrived quickly. Although the ship had 2000+ guests, the only times it seemed crowded were the first day and the last morning.
Spacious room, nice balcony, dual vanity, separate shower and tub. Plenty of storage space, the only "weakness" that I noted was that the pillows were in a plastic type of pillow covers, noisy and not as comfortable as on previous ships. There were various sizes of pillows/ good selection. The bed was comfortable, the room very nice. Elevators arrived quickly, always functional. Our room stewards did a great job.
