This was our second Carnival cruise - the first being on the Legend's sister ship the Carnival Spirit. We are a retired couple who love to cruise and this was our 20th. Our last cruise was in October on the Navigator of the Seas.

Embarkation - a nightmare. When we arrived at the port (we drove our car and parked in the garage), there was total bedlam with people getting off the ship 2 hours late and those trying to board. Cars and taxis were everywhere and there were no porters to be found. People complained of being in line for 2 hours and then it started to rain. When we were able to board, we dropped our carry on in our cabin and headed up to the lido for lunch. Our Cabin - category 9A with partial obstruction. The room was huge by normal cabin standards with lots of storage. Even though we were located right next to the elevator, it was the quietest cabin we've ever had on any ship. The balcony was long and there was obstruction but it made for a great place to read and nap. Fellow cruisers on both sides appeared to enjoy the quiet as much as we did.

Service - cabin steward was not visible but kept our cabin neat and tidy. When we returned from breakfast or dinner, the room had been made up and there was fresh ice. Kiddos to the cabin stewards.
