We just returned from the 1st sailing on the Grand Princess Thanksgiving cruise. This was our first cruise on Princess as we have cruised with lots of other lines and to say the least we were impressed. The Grand is a beautiful ship and very easy to navigate for a ship it's size. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 kids ranging from 15 to 8. We only had dinner once with the kids as between the Movies under the stars and the Arcade and Pizza and Hamburger stations they were in heaven. Our room was a balcony on the Caribe deck and for those of you looking to book the balconies are much larger on this deck as our friend were on the Aloha deck.

The food on board was very adequate. The baked goods are wonderful. We only ate at Sabatini,s for the specialty restaurant and it is by far the best experience for a meal on a cruise ship I have had. You only pick your entree and they bring out tray after tray of all kinds of antipastas and other goodies. Go Hungry, do not eat before hand. We did the anytime dining which we enjoyed as we were able to eat when we wanted to instead of rushing. It was nice to be able to relax at the bars first or casino and then stroll into dinner. True you do not get to know the wait staff as well but we only had one night where the service was questionable and that was Thanksgiving night and the restaurants were packed.

Excursions: Belize, We did the snorkeling trip and the boat picked us up at the ship we went 30 minutes to this island snorkeled for 45 minutes went back to ship left 2 hours later so we never really saw Belize. Roatan: We booked our own tour through Bodden tours and had a driver which charged $25pp for a van to take us around. We did the zip line canopy tour. this is a must. I was harassing my wife as she wanted to back out but she went anyway and the My turn came and I must say it was hard to take that first step but I did and we all enjoyed. We also went to the Iguana farm and the kids really like this. Costa Maya: Absolutely beautiful and unspoiled. Remember it now because in 10 years this place will look like Cancun. Too Bad. The kids did the Dolphin swim and we did the Beach scene at the Uvara park. Cozumel: Cozumel is cozumel great beaches and fun shopping.
