We had a wonderful time aboard Jewel of the Seas. She is our favorite ship!
San Juan: We flew in a day early and stayed at La Concha Resort in Condado. Very pleasant stay. The room was quiet and clean. We ate dinner across the street at Cafe Del Angel - best mofongo around! Had breakfast the next morning at Dunkin' Donuts, across the street.
The taxi ride to the port only took a few minutes. We arrived at the port at 11:15 and were able to walk right up to the check in. We were onboard within 10 minutes of arriving at the port.
Cabin Review
This Junior Suite was very-very large with a lot of storage. Our balcony had two chairs, a table and a lounger and was big too. Most nights I heard a noise which sounded like the lifeboats rocking and creaking.I recommend the starboard side of the ship, Junior Suites on the Port side are under the infamous I-35, which is a hallway used by staff used to transport things and can be very noisy.
