Back to back fun

Sail Date: October 2013
Destination: Southern Caribbean
Embarkation: San Juan

We decided to do a back to back on the Jewel of the Seas because she is our favorite ship. She did not disappoint us. She's a beautiful ship that makes you really feel like you are at sea.

We stayed at the Veranda Hotel in Isla Verde the night before and were very pleased with the service.

Our 2 cruises were somewhat different because of the people on board. The first had a lot of Spanish speakers and children. The second was very international with very few children. The ports on the 2nd part of our b2b were, in my opinion, better.

Embarkation was easy and fast as was disembarkation. The food was very good especially in the Windjammer. I'm not a fan of the seafood heavy new menu. Didn't attend many shows as we had seen most of them several times. RC needs some new Production Shows for the smaller ships. Most of the bands around the ship were excellent except for the piano player in the Schooner Bar. Fortunately, on some nights, there was an excellent More guitarist in the bar.

The ship was in very good condition, Our balcony was freshly painted. We had an aft balcony which was the perfect spot if you want peace and quiet.

Service in all venues was outstanding. Just wish the computers would work properly.

Another great cruise. Hated to get off the ship. Less
