My husband and I took the Grandeur of the Seas out of Baltimore to Bermuda for our 45th wedding anniversary. The ship was great. It was super clean and the staff were some of the most friendly we have encountered on all our cruises. Our cabin steward Bonnie took good care of us and even made us two towel swans with real rose pedals sprinkled around them for our anniversary.

Three of the headliner shows were fantastic-Beetle Mania, Domenick Allen (a member of the 70's group Foreigner) and Steve Bruner, a comedienne out of LA. The ship singers and dancers were just average in their production shows. However there were two great aerial shows in the Centrum which we have never seen before on a cruise ship and were great. The food was above average. We did anytime dining for the first time and we were pleased with the service. The buffet in the Windjammer was cruise ship average, plentiful and the staff were friendly and efficient. Park Place Cafe was a great place for sandwiches and snacks. The main dining room had a great make your own salad bar at lunch. I would give the food a B plus overall. We did not participate in a lot of the activities but there were many during the cruising days. I would like to have been offered a first run movie in the Pallidum in the afternoons as a choice, as her sister ship does. Not everyone is interested in the belly flop contest or the sexiest man contest, etc. Over all a great cruise and we would recommend this ship.

Cabin Review

We had a cabin with a window on the second deck. We usually get cabins with a balcony but since we were going to be in Bermuda over a 3 day period, we opted for a cheaper cabin. I was disappointed there was no refrigerator but other than that it was fine. The commode did not flush on the first day for awhile and later we were told there was low pressure.. Other than that it was fine but I now know to always get a balcony room.
