Small Family Cruise

Sail Date: May 2013
Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: Port Canaveral

We traveled with DH's Mother who uses a walker, and 2 grown children. We had 3 cabins on the Main Deck Aft OV rooms. Our room steward and his assistants were great. Our DD & her grandmother shared a room and they notice a strong aroma and contacted house keeping and they went to work on resolving the issue and did a wonderful job. The entire crew was wonderful.

In Freeport, we did the city tour, since MIL can not do too much walking and this was just right for everyone. Nassau we did not do anything special together. DH & I walked to the nearest beach to relax. DD & MIL went on a horse and buggie ride and then to the straw market. DS relaxed on the ship and then went into town for a short time.

We as a family enjoyed dinner in the Wind Star dining room, with the Any Time Dining. We were had the same table and servers the entire cruise. Elmer was our head waiter and his team were the best.

Little Stir-up Cay was on our itinerary and it was a nice More island. We had a Cabana and was nice. We don't drink and we tried to get the bottle of champagne, switched for sodas and we had no luck. We did give the bottle to another cabana and that group did send over sodas for all, so that was a welcomed surprise. Snorkeling here was great, but the rocky waters is hard to navigate. Overall we all were happy with our cruise! Can't wait to good again! Less

Cabin review: Carnival Ecstasy M258

Good clean room. Loved having a window, but would have really loved a balcony.
