Atlantic sunrise Brilliant !!

Sail Date: April 2013
Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean
Embarkation: Tenerife

This was a one off cruise that took the Majesty from its winter cruise of canary isles to its summer Adriatic cruise , we had only one day at sea and excellant ports of call, Tenerife , Las palmas. Cassablanca. gibralter, Alicante ,palma --Adjaccio,Livornio.Citaveccia,Naples, Dubrovnic, Kotor, Messina and Corfu ,,
We were a party of 7 ages from 45 to 72
We loved every minuite , the weather was not so good in Palma and Livonio but the rest was good and got better as we travelled East , We ate in the seven seas and managed to get the same table each night , the waiters were great and we had music most nights from the Spice boys , (the Philipeen waiters )
The food was really good and the main course portion were alot bigger than we have had on other cruises ,. we also had 3 bowls of chips everynight ,, on 2 lunchtimes there was a pub lunch in the Rendevous lounge with Wally on his piano ,, brilliant stuff !
our cabins were only the inside basic oned but they were fine More . small but we only slept in them, we looked at some of the upper grade cabins and they looked really good some even had king size beds but we were happy with ours
we enjoyed the entertainment , it was first class, we went in the jubilee lounge and watched all the shows the thompson entertainment team were fantastic with some really good singers , there were 2 bands musik unlimited and rhythum of three . both firstclass and as good as you get ,, we only went in the Royal fireworks once but it was mostly quizzes and games and our older members didnt like that but I am sure it was liked by lots as it was always full up ,, we saw a few guest acts all very good but Fogwell Flax was the best ,
We only did one trip to Pisa were we had a wonderful day and our guide was so informative , the rest of the time we did our own thing , Our favorite port was Kotor Montenegro amazing scenery and the hour sailing into is a must see , ,
The Majesty is a great ship , its our second time with her and we find it fine , cannot understand some of the critics but we are easily pleased and dont moan much !, my only real moan was the smoking area which was all down one side of the top deck and the smell seemed to drift over to the non smokng area alot
The thing that makes this cruise was the staff , the friendliness and work they put in is amazing , we made good friends with alot of them , several of them performed in their own show ,Majesty got talent where there was a great variety of ordinary workers with some great skills ,, Brilliant
Cant wait for our next cruise Less

Cabin review: Thomson Majesty 3151

Inside cabin Quite small but perfect for us Nice decor and comfy beds , the ships engines could be heard when docking but didnt bother us easy to find Tv with sky news and sky sports and 2 films each day

Port and Shore Excursions

Quite a long trip to the old town , it was hot here so we just walked around the harbour as we were flying home from here so time was limited

very enjoyable port with a nice harbour and town to walk around

one of our favorite stops , we took a taxi to the old town and walked through Pile gate to find a wonderful walled city , right at the end in a bay with blue sea and rocky surrounds , we took aboat trip round the bay , well worth it

great place, took aminibus to the caves and monkeys, the driver told us all the history and we had agood time , then hit the shops

our favorite port of call, with an hour and half sailing into it along wonderful sceneryand villages its amust see , there is a huge mountain at the end wit snow on it , I imagine its not unlike the fjords We walked along the bay and found a bar where we met some locals who were very friendly
