Easter Break in Canaries 2013
Destination: Canary Islands
We booked an Easter Break to Canaries arriving in Tenerife on Good Friday to a lovely sunny day.
Transfer to ship was good and we arrived at ship an hour after leaving airport.
We chose an outside cabin on deck 5 which was very clean a bit small but adequate.
I decided to write this review to dispel views I have read on here.
The ship is absolutely spotless and staff are excellent.
The food is good and plentiful, maybe not on par with other more expensive cruise lines, but you get what you pay for and this should be taken into account when reading reviews of other cruisers.
Dinner was always a 5 course and Good Breakfasts with all the usual menu but omelet, eggs benedict, kippers what more do you need.
Some reviews mentioned that buffet areas where cramped and difficult to find a table, I agree with this, but there was always room on the deck below and the waiter service restaurants were not busy in the morning and guests can also eat buffet More style in there.
The entertainment was not as good as the Dream as we felt if did not flow through the night and there were gaps when there was not much going on,but you can always people watch.
Drink prices are on par with the UK and not a rip off.
Wine and water pack good value 5 wine for price of 4 and 4 bottled water.
This ship mainly caterers for UK residents and that is why Thompson Cruisers return every year. Less
