We sailed on the Pride Easter Sunday to the Mexican Riviera. Booked through an internet agency and were upgraded three categories. Nice.

Embarkation took a while but the lines moved quickly. Before we knew it, we were in our beautiful balcony cabin. Cabin was clean and ready for us. We met the steward who gave us first class treatment throughout the trip. We insured this first class treatment by giving him a gratuity on a daily basis if deemed worthy. Our ice chest was filled 24/7 and stocked with the beverages we brought along. We had breakfast daily in our cabin which was delivered on time. Hot food was hot and cold food was cold. Again, gratuities are helpful to assure this on a daily basis. I would rate the overall cabin experience a 10.

We have cruised before and have discovered that going with the flow is not for us. We prefer going as casual as possible (left the formalwear at home). Hence, we were in the dining room once for lunch and had a very enjoyable meal. We enjoyed the buffet, pizza, grilled chicken, sushi and most of all, the fantastic deli sandwiches. Probably the best corned beef on rye I have ever eaten. We took these sandwiches to our cabin and dined on the verandah. We bring our own candles, had the Moet chilled, and ordered our dessert in. The Pride makes it very easy to enjoy your cruise any way you choose.
