South America/Amazon River Sailing

Background. My wife and I have cruised on a variety of cruise line ships including Commodore (now extinct) Princess, HAL (Amsterdam) NCl and Celebrity. Most of these cruises were for over 2 weeks so we have a good background for a ship review.

Itinerary. The Veendam left Vancouver on Sept 25 going down the west coast of USA and Central America, through the Panama Canal to Brazil. It went up the Amazon River for nearly 1000 miles to Manaus then returned to the Caribbean to disembark at Tampa on Oct 29. '05. Read more
