Veendam Cruise, Alaska, August 7 - 14, 2005 (Overall Trip, August 1 - 16, 2005)
Route: Seven day cruise starting in Seward - Glaciers - Sitka - Juneau - Ketchikan - Vancouver.
1. General Comments: A great cruise. This was our fourth cruise with HAL and our first participating in their land tours. We booked a cabin with private verandah. I add some comments below about the land tour (HAL Tour #20) as well as the post-cruise tour we took in Vancouver. The land tours are an important part of the "Alaska cruise experience," and one should stop in Vancouver and not just pass through it to the airport.
