Carnival Pride - Mexican Riviera

Sail Date: October 2005
Destination: Mexican Riviera
Embarkation: Los Angeles

We sailed on the Disney Magic last year and loved so we tried a cruise a little closer to home on the Carnival Pride.

BOARDING

We flew in to Long Beach with America West and they sent one of our bags to Minnesota. So my mom had to buy clothes from the ship until we got Puerto Vallarta. We did early check-in at 10:00AM on the Queen Mary. Getting on the ship took about an hour and we were eating lunch on the Lido Deck.

ROOM

We had a balcony room 5178 and it was about 180 square feet. It was very nice to have a balcony but it was very noisy from the people below you. It was also kinda small for three people.

DINING

The food was GREAT in the main dinning room. They had steak, crab, and a lot of great starters. The food on the Lido Deck was average. They also have great food at David's Supper Club.

KID'S CLUB

Two words - Very Bad!!!

ENTERTAINMENT

Great shows Wonderful World and Vroom our More Cruise Director was the BEST!!!!! He made the cruise a very good experience. They also have pool games, trivia, and a game room.

OVERALL

A very nice cruise ( 7.5 - 8 ) I will sail Carnival again. Less
