All precruise hesitation was quickly put to rest!

My husband and I (both late 40s) started our cruise with a NCL arranged 2 night stay at the Marriott. We paid for a standard view room but received a room with a great view of the beach. Sure glad we did not pay the up-charge for a room with a view. The pre-cruise check-in and transportation to the POAm was great. No lines and no waiting. Great way to enjoy Oahu and adjust to the time difference prior to boarding the ship.

We were on the ship at 1:00 and our room 11524 was ready and waiting for us. The room was adequate with plenty of storage. There was definitely a "no passing zone" at the end of the bed but besides that we had plenty of room. (we did put our desk chair and coffee table on the extra large balcony for added space in the room.) After making reservations for the Lazy J and Little Italy, I started putting our clothes in the drawers only to discover the prior room occupants had left a few articles of personal clothing. OMG!!! My first thought was the horror story has started. I immediately called housekeeping -- within less than 60 seconds our cabin girl was in our room to remove the clothing and wipe the drawer with disinfectant. She was extremely apologetic. Bernadette was extremely sweet and accommodating the entire cruise. We did tip her daily and write her notes which we saw that she had posted on her cart. We also had towel animals on two occasions.
