Everyone has a different perception about cruising and what I like the next person may dislike. I have cruised on 30 ships over the years We recently cruised on the Norwegian Epic Feb 9,2013. This is supposedly the third largest cruise ship at 149,000 Tons. There is a water park, rock mountain climbing and a spring board for children. A large casino 1800 square feet. Cirgue of Dreams Second City Legends Blue Men Fat Cats blues club with Siam Allen The ship is has a concept of las Vegas type entertainment The is an adult area at the front and the rear of the ship. The food was good on the ship with several ice cream machines available Small cabins available to single travellers.. Casual dressing... freestyle Haven is a superior service of cabin and meal service that is offered and is off limits to the normal passenger What we disliked, you had to make reservations for all the shows. Cirque of Dreams $29.95 standard and $39.95Superior seating. The video selection in the cabin was horrendous Nickelodeon MSNBC Fox News BBC and one old movie channel. You could buy movies at 3.95 usually older films. The super bowel was on the main screens in the public area but was not shown in the cabins. We all believed that they did this to sell more alcohol, There excuse was they did not purchase a licence for a cabin. I have been on several ships and they showed the Super Bowel in the cabins There was three nights you had to find your own entertainment As there was only 4 shows. We supplemented by seeing second city, the magician and the game show. The centre of attraction is an 1800 Ft smoke filled Casino on the sixth floor. Since we were not gamblers this had no attraction for us. You had to make reservations for all the shows. Open seating 10 minutes prior to the show The inside cabins were 128 sq ft with a shower enclosure and toiled at the entrance to the cabin, with a frosted glass door. Most inside cabins are 156 sq ft or larger The wash hand basin was on the counter top where you place your pares or computer and got wet when you washed up. Norwegian has realized that this non bathroom system is a flop and they are going back to the traditional bathrooms. The balcony cabins were 156 sq ft and smaller than most other ships. There are no ocean view cabins We did not like the blues club nor the blue men who we though were silly and loud generally the audience did enjoy them. I thought Norwegian nickel and dimed you on many aspects of the cruise. All of the club dining had service charges 15 to $30.00 per person Since we did not appreciate this ship and we will had to all these negative factors about it, we will definitely not be sailing on it again.
