Sail Date: January 2013
Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: Port Canaveral

I would like to start by saying, we love cruises. Where else can you get a room, all the food you want, live entertainment, and see different parts of the country, for the price of a cruise?

The Ecstasy is a smaller ship. We like this because we can get from one end of the ship to the other in just a couple of minutes. Also, when in port, you don't have to stand in line near as long to get on and off.

The ship was spotless. The service was great. The food was fantastic. The shows were excellent.

The only complaint we have is a suggestion or perhaps a warning to future cruisers to this port. We booked transportation from the Orlando airport to the ship in Port Canaveral, from Port Canaveral Cruse Shuttles. They asked what time our flight arrived. I told them 10:00. They said OK we will see you then. After we paid, on line, we received a confirmation e mail that said they would pick us up between 11:00-11:30. I called again and told them AGAIN that we were More arriving at 10:00. He said " you can't get on the ship till noon anyway, it's better to wait at the airport than the cruise terminal". We have cruised several times before and this is not true. After waiting almost an hour and a half, he picked us up then drove to a hotel to pick up some more people. When we arrived at the hotel, no one was waiting for the shuttle so he called them. They were staying at a different hotel. He went to the wrong one. So we had to drive to another location. After another 45 - 60 minute drive, we finally arrived at the cruise port. By then the lines were really long.

After the cruise, we were told we needed to be out of our rooms by 8:30 so the staff would have time to clean before the next cruise started. We had to wait on the side of the curb with all our luggage for over an hour before he showed up.

My suggestion to you is rent a car from the airport. Turn it in at the port. Then re- rent it to get back to the airport. It will save money and frustration. Less

Cabin review: Carnival Ecstasy Interior Main U31

We've had window cabins before but found that we are not in our rooms except to sleep and change clothes. So why pay the extra money for something we don't use.
