I received an email announcing last-minute bargains. Despite an email notice advising that sailing would be delayed an hour for a USCG inspection, boarding was quick and embarkation was a breeze. Cabins were ready almost immediately. The staff and crew were most friendly, helpful, and supportive.
It seems that some information was not accurately transferred to the ship from the shore (cabin configuration, special needs requirements, etc.), but after double-checking with our cabin attendant everything was quickly remedied.
The Seaside Cafe (buffet) was great, never crowded when we were there, with short, fast-moving lines. We did not visit any of the specialty restaurants, but had early seating for the San Marco Restaurant (main dining room) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't think that the meal selections and service could be much better. Additionally, we were seated with two other great couples and probably had the best waiter and assistant waiter on board.
Most of the shows in the Celebrity Theater were great. I was impressed with the juggler, and the show entertainers were certainly a talented and hard-working team. We were fortunate to have the Top Flight quartet on board, and it was always nice to see and listen to the talented performers in the various lounges.
This was a well-deserved, relaxing, get-away from the hustle of the holidays (although we did get home in time to enjoy Christmas with family).
