Sailed on Sun in Mar, 2012 out of Pt Canaveral & loved it! This time out of Miami & liked the cruise/ship, but HATE PORT OF MIAMI! Drove to Hyatt Place & left vehicle...nice hotel & free parking & free shuttle TO port ($12 p/p on return -more later!) Got to ship & were in room w/in 60 minutes of arrival at port! (we were only ship in Port - on a Wed.) Room was OK (standard balcony.)
Had not been to 4 of 5 ports, which was major reason for booking. Booked the "3 specialty restaurants" deal. Italian was OK for me (wife did NOT like!); French was very good; & the Steak was Great, as usual!
Took several excursions....if u don't like street vendors, beggars, etc., DO NOT get off the ship in Cartagena! They are everywhere! Had good to great times there anyway....same in Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten, & St. Thomas.
Our balcony was toward the rear (aft) of the ship & had a "stopped drain" somewhere behind us (starboard side)....had up to 1" of water on balcony 75% of the ENTIRE cruise! Room steward was heroic.....trying to "squegee" off water 3-4-5 times a day, to no avail. Couldn't/didn't use most of the time...really was unacceptable.
