We sailed on the March 27, 2005 sailing of the Mariner of the Seas. What a great cruise. My husband and I were traveling with our two year old son and Royal Caribbean went out of their way to make sure he too enjoyed his cruise. Having also taken a previous Disney cruise 3 months ago, I can say that RCL blows Disney out of the water in terms of delaying with small children in my opinion. The only thing that was disappointing was the new AquaTots program..if you have a small child don't waste your time.

Labadee is a beautiful stop...more of a private beach than a port of call. There was plenty of beach for everyone, a lunch was served on the island and staff on the Island was consistently helpful. It was a perfect day for all of us.

The shore excursion in Jamaica was somewhat disappointing. We did the motor yacht cruise to Dunn's River Falls with the understanding that there would be a beach available. The "motor yacht" was a somewhat ill-repaired ferry with soft decks and railings that would have fallen off of anyone had leaned on them. The beach was also very disappointing...I'd suggest doing a different excursion if it's beach time you are after.
