This is an older ship but I must compliment the Housekeeping and Maintenance for the excellent condition of the ship.
Garden Cafe has a horrible design conducive for line cutting due to long waits. When you get to the food it is bland, overcooked, and limited. The main restaurants were passable with decent service. Gagney's their finest restaurant was everything but that. 7pm reservations turned into 7:45 pm reservations. Hot Appetizers were served cool. Save your money and eat at the two main dining rooms.
Late night food in the sports bar hit the bottom, 20 min for spinach dip in a bowl so small the (20) stale chips had to be broken in half. Another night the wait exceeding 20 minutes so we left.
We like to dance, party and gamble.... it was more like a high school prom with girls in shorts and flip flops; guys in jeans and t-shirts. We are used to a classier So. Beach look. Their signature White Party is only in name.
Service was spotty some good most not and some down right snarly... hard to buy a drink most night. Generally the support staff was pleasant more so than food and drink service.
Casino provided entertainment, organized, with enough variety for ship's size. One passenger who was drunk, obnoxious, loud and argumentative was allowed to remain in the casino even though at least 5 different card players requested his removal. Again we aren't prudes but when his wife walks up to him and asks him to come to the cabin and his response is no "I am not go to %^&$ you now you have to wait to get (*^$, he screamed at the dealer, Agitated the entire table to the point they all stopped playing and the Late Evening manager does nothing and acted as if he had no authority to ask him to leave unless he was cheating. His behavior happened 2 of the 3 nights.. there is a real problem here.
Bottom line we believe there are better choices. We jumped on for a last minute quick get away wk end cruise as the competitors were sold out. hmmm. Guess we should of planned ahead.
