Carnival Dream Review - June 5-12, 2016 - just returned
Before I start the review, let me say that after 18 cruises, this was BY FAR the absolute BEST cruise we've had....the CD/staff/entertainment/casino/customer service, etc on the Dream was TOP NOTCH!! It was the most organized embarkation and debarkation of ANY port! Now, having said that, I'm going to make some reflections on some things ...
This was our second trip on the dream as we sailed last april. my husband and 2 children( ages 10 and 13) were together on the 9th floor. this year we booked a balcony which was awesome, and we will never not have a balcony again. The location was convenient to everything.
We sailed to jamaica, montego bay (nothing special), the port is horrible nothing to do or see. We went to a beach ...
Had been on Pride last year, this trip on Dream the staff didn't seem as helpful or friendly. The nightly entertainment was sub par, the production and costumes were so bad it was insulting. The service in the main dining room was slow and inattentive. The menu choices were not as appealing as last year. Our room was good except for a loud water rushing sound the whole trip in our bathroom. ...
We decided to cruz on the Dream because we loved our experience summer of 2015. So we decided to cruise on the Dream two years in a row. But this year wasn't the same as our first experience.
Rooms: There were two days our rooms were never touched by housekeeping. That means our beds didn't get made, no fresh towels, and no towel animals on the bed when you come back from a long day of ...
We Had an amazing trip aboard the Carnival Dream. There were ups and downs, and good and bad points but overall we cant really complain about anything.
Embarkation: we purchased the faster to the fun package, personally we thought it wasn't worth the money. it sells you on the fact that you can get on and off at your own convenience, and that there is no waiting. Well we showed up to our ...
This was our first cruise, and we were also celebrating our honeymoon. I'm glad we picked the Dream! It's a massive ship with lots to do!
Service: The service was excellent - the staff is polite and eager to help. They remember your names and make sure you're satisfied with everything. The ship was kept very clean at all times. We did not experience any sewage smell like some people have ...
This was my 5th cruise and my husband's 6th. By far, the Carnival Dream was our favorite ship! We had an interior state room and for the 2 of us it was perfect. There was plenty of closet space, the bathroom was the perfect layout and the bed (as always) was very comfortable. We were in a Spa Interior so we also got to use the Spa amenities. The Thalassotherapy Pool was amazing along with the ...
My first cruise and my early birthday present. I hear everyone talking about how nice some crusies are but this dream was like a nightmare. First of all, our rooms where not ready so we had to wait. Second of all the steward was lazy. He didn't change our linen and if he did he would put dirty linen on our bed and we had to call for him to do our beds over. The beds where uncomfortable because ...
We had Faster to the fun and was in our room in no time. We stayed in 10275 our daughters stayed in 10277 on the Lido deck. We were able to open the connecting dividers on the deck, it was great. The cruise was wonderful, islands and excursions were all great. Loved swimming with the dolphins, the all inclusive Secrets resorts and the Maya ruins.
We had been on the ship when it was only a few ...
We have cruised 6 times with 5 times on Carnival. We chose this cruise on the Carnival Dream for out family reunion which was a Big mistake. The new assigned boarding times was a disaster and had to stand in a very small area in the heat for 2 hours before entering the building with air conditioning. Now they charge $20 for certain items in the dining room and also charge for most items on the 24 ...
