We have cruised 6 times with 5 times on Carnival. We chose this cruise on the Carnival Dream for out family reunion which was a Big mistake. The new assigned boarding times was a disaster and had to stand in a very small area in the heat for 2 hours before entering the building with air conditioning. Now they charge $20 for certain items in the dining room and also charge for most items on the 24 hour room service such as pizza and wings. Was not greeted by the room steward until we hunted him down on the second day. Our room frig did not work and we had ordered a 12 pack of water before cruising and had to fight with guest services for 2 days before we got another one.

Guests are allowed to dump your personal items such as phones, towels, and bags out of your lounge chairs by the pool if you get out of them to go eat or to the bathroom even if you got up at 7 am to get chairs together with your family.

Most frustrating was we had NO air conditioning and had a balcony we could not use dt having to keep the curtains closed and the lights off just to keep the room at 80 degrees. We spent many frustrating hours a day calling and standing in line at guest services with them telling us each day it would be fixed and the 6th day of our cruise they finally said no the air conditioner can not be fixed. They NEVER offered to move us to another cabin and only the 6th night of our cruise gave us a small desk fan. Only one staff ever apologized for the way we had been treated.

Cabin Review

Cabin was dirty the whole 7 days of our cruise and even found old toe nail clippings in the floor. Never saw the room steward until the 2nd day when we hunted him down. Several days trash blew in on our balcony from other rooms and it was never picked up unless we did it.
