the price was good and the time to go was great but as soon as we got to the port we felt thath we where going to wait in line for 10 day,s this ship was built only to trap people in the casino no view on the walking deck on 7 no view at aft of the ship except a giant screen this ship is a tourist trap all they whant is to get your money ,,food is just ok they even hide the bananas no ...
Our first cruise was with NCL Breakaway and we so enjoyed it that we cruised with NCL again!
We loved the Epic Thermal Spa, its size and the small outdoor area was lovely! Spice H2O had a pool that was available on most days which made this loud and overcrowded area more pleasant. Posh and Vibe on both ships are not worth the investment.
Thanks to our travel agent Keith Belanger with ...
This was our (couple in our early 60's) second time on Epic. We have also cruised Celebrity and enjoyed it. The staff at Epic were awesome. They worked so hard and tirelessly for the passengers. Our biggest problem with the cruise was with our fellow passengers, who seemed impossible to please and who would whine about absolutely anything and everything, no matter how trivial. It was very ...
Choose this cruise because of the sail date and also ports. I read many reviews of the Epic leading up to our cruise and based on them I was worried. We were just two so perhaps our perspective would be different than a large group traveling together. We had a great time and overall it was a very good cruise. Embarkation was delayed due the Holy Ship Cruise that preceded ours. We had early check ...
This was my 13th cruise (7th with NCL) and by far the worse cruise I have ever taken.
The positive:
Best room steward ever- Male name (Aft Cabins on Deck 13). He was funny and offered recommendations in port. I will not hold it against him that he said the Vacation Hero cards were 'mandatory.'
Ship maintenance- While part of the outside deck was closed for construction which was a ...
We initially chose this cruise for the itinerary, and the port it was departing from. We are experienced cruisers, having been on many different cruise lines - Holland America, Royal Caribbean etc.
The embarkation process was the WORST we have ever experienced! We stood outside in the hot sun in a line that went on forever. It took several hours to even get to the point of check-in. It was ...
Started off very badly with a 2 + hour wait to embark. No one would tell customers what the issue was. Some blamed TSA. Others said the ship was 2 hours late arriving in port. It was after we got on that we learned the real reason (just google Norwegian Epic Drug bust January 2019). The staff seemed pre-occupied and un-attentive; meals were mediocre unless you paid surcharge for certain ...
My friend “won” this cruise but it still cost us $665 just to take before we upgraded to a balcony and added excursions.
There was chaos on boarding day that left us standing for 2 hours from appointed time before we got on ship. No explanation by NCL. Excursions were cancelled that shouldn’t have been and no advance notice on ones canceled due to weather. No explanation and no apologies. ...
This was our second cruise with Norwegian, first time on the Epic. We were surprised by our disappointment on the service, food quality and terrible entertainment.
The ship is starting to look very tired and is in need some upgrades. The pool, very underwhelming considering that there are 4000 people aboard and the pool is no bigger than a hot tub. The hot tubs were cold anytime during our ...
We set out to have a relaxing cruise as we often do (17 to date). Norwegian Epic is a huge ship with 19 decks. The speaker system is loud everywhere and both had daily headaches from the noise. Most announcements could not be understood due to the loudness. We heard this complaint from several passengers. The ship layout is very odd. There are elevators and stairs at both ends of the ship but none ...
