Great itinerary and a love ship

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

We picked this cruise because we like NCL and we wanted to start and end in Rome. A stop in Marseilles was also important. NCL treated us well. We used none on the NCL sponsored shore excursions and booked all our own tours with others through the Cruise Critic rollcall.... that's the only way to go. We met lovely people and had a lot of fun doing that. Our balcony cabin was fine..though ...

Spirit needs to be updated....seriously updated!

Itinerary was superb, weather was glorious and excursions booked through outside vendors were amazing. The NCL Spirit is a ship needing to go to drydock for serious updating. Cabins are small, balconies even smaller (knees hit glass as you sit on chairs), bathrooms are shoddy with poor design and a big hunk out of our sink,dirty/moldy tile. Windows dining room is something from the 70's...big ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. It was fabulous! We were in a suite so embarkation and disembarkation was a breeze. The concierge, Monica, did a fabulous job in getting us everything, including dinner reservations when they were all booked up. The dining in the dining rooms is just average. I had a few misses including the fish that was over done. I never had any beef for fear ...

Perfect Itinerary on a perfect ship

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

We booked this cruise because of the interesting itinerary and also because we prefer NCL's freestyle cruising style. We were looking to visit places that were new to us. We especially enjoyed our visit to Greece (Athens, Santorini, and Olympia). We enjoyed every port. We booked a couple of excursions through Viator, used Tom's Port Guides, and joined two excursions planned by members on the roll ...

First time on Norwegian Spirit but have been twice on her sister ship Superstar Virgo when it was owned by the same line out of Singapore. Knowing the layout of this ship made it so easy to get around. I had cabin 5063 which I selected myself. Inside cabin and I asked for the two twin beds to be set up as being a solo traveller it gave me more space to walk around. Bathroom was very clean and ...

We chose this cruise for its interesting itinerary, freestyle dining and relaxed atmosphere. We were not disappointed. The cruise was well organised, the food was very good and the staff charming and helpful. The ship is lovely and well maintained. We didn't care much for the Blue Lagoon or the pub as venues but there were plenty of other lovely places to listen to various kinds of music. We ...

Not much spirit on the Spirit

This was our 1st cruise with NCL, the actual cruise and destinations were superb , however the actual ship had its problems. Our room was on deck 11, 11629, directly underneath Raffles buffet, there was some noise during the day as you would expect, this continued right through the night even though the restaurant was closed. It sounded like a hot water boiler had been left on, coming up to ...

We chose this cruise for the time of year (our anniversary) and the location (Mediterranean with several ports of call that were new to us). Embarkation was disorganized, but that might just have been Barcelona rather than any reflection on NCL. The ship was generally good, but the furnishings are looking a bit worn and weren't top quality to begin with. Our cabin was nicely laid out and ...

The itinerary was superb. It was our first cruise but we were very happy with everything about it. the staff were courteous, cheerful and helpful. We did not use their shore excursions as we preferred to organise our own and like a lot of walking. We especially enjoyed our visit to Greece (Athens, Santorini, and Olympia). We enjoyed every port.
