Itinerary was superb, weather was glorious and excursions booked through outside vendors were amazing. The NCL Spirit is a ship needing to go to drydock for serious updating. Cabins are small, balconies even smaller (knees hit glass as you sit on chairs), bathrooms are shoddy with poor design and a big hunk out of our sink,dirty/moldy tile. Windows dining room is something from the 70's...big cavernous room with cheap art and busts in alcoves. Tables in Ruffles also had chips out of them...C'mon NCL, atleast turn the chips so they aren't visible. We've been on many cruise ships and by far and away, this one was the worst.
Also noticed the attitude of the service personnel were less than welcoming and argumentative at times. Not a great relationship to have with their clientele. That said, our waiter when we dined at Windows, was superb at his job and friendly, an amazing combination. Thank you Vishal!
We certainly weren't wowed by the entertainment options. How about NCL offer options like a string quartet, lecture on history at each port or anything that might appear to cruisers who also appreciate learning not just drinking/spending/gambling, etc. Please make our experience more about how you can make money off of your guests.
