Everyone was tellingvus that Alaska was their favorite cruise, so we knew we would get there..eventually!
Our chief obstacle was the distance from our home on the East coast. Finally, DH found some good flights and we made a plan. It was worth the wait. What a trip!
The Explorer was the ship we took for our first cruise. We like almost everything about it except walking past the casino, ...
This was our first cruise, and we had the time of our lives! We met lots of friendly, wonderful people, created terrific memories and can't wait till we can cruise again some day! We can't recommend Royal Caribbean highly enough. The staff were all so gracious, kind and simply outstanding. The food was excellent where ever we went, there was tons of things to do, the shows entertainment was ...
This was part of a Tripadeal tour which included a tour of National Parks and Las Vegas.Overall we felt that some things we average and some below average. The Crew were good but the food was average and sometime below average. We had My time Dinning which meant we were shifted around and sometimes the table selection was poor and so was the service. Entertainment on the main shows was good ...
My family and I just returned from our Alaskan cruise on the Explorer Of The Seas. This was the 1st time and probably the last on this particular ship. My family and I cruise's quite often so this was not our 1st time cruising. We had a great time in Alaska however this cruise itinerary only has 3 stops. The itinerary needs to be revamped you spend more days at sea than actual ports of call. ...
We found checking in at the port was no trouble and once boarding the ship with so many people I felt the crew did an amazing job of getting everyone to their rooms
Our stateroom 9371 was quite a shock it was so tiny it was impossible to walk around the bed as it was jammed hard against the wall on both sides we climbed from the end of the bed up to the pillows my Husband woke the first night ...
A bucket list cruise. We’re 57 & 55, on our 5th RCCL cruise.
We have traveled the interior of Alaska (Fairbanks, Anchorage, Seward) but always wanted to see the coast. Alaska and RCCL did not disappoint.
Seattle / Boarding
We flew in the day before and stayed on the Marriott Waterfront. Used Speedi Shuttle for transfers to hotel and return to airport. Thursday we had lunch (our dinner) ...
Our second trip to Alaska, wanted to try RCCL. Embarkation and Debarkation were the best we have ever had. Beautiful ship and we chose an inside cabin this time. It was nice but it was not as big as the Carnival Dream's inside cabins. Meals in the Dinning Room was very disappointing. We thought it would be a class or two above Carnival but it wasn't. We had better on Carnival, Princess and NCL. ...
The overall cruise was excellent. The reason why we picked Royal Caribbean over the other cruise lines for this Alaska cruise, was because they stayed in the ports longer than the others. Royal Caribbean only made 3 stops versus 4 that others offer. We stayed in each port anywhere from 9 - 10 hours. The last stop was Victoria where we arrived at 9:00 AM and left at 6:00 PM. The other cruise lines ...
First time cruisers - early 40s, no kids. Went on an author themed cruise, booked through an agent recommended by a family member.
Ship seemed to have a number of activities, but something just didn't seem themed right for the location we were going to. I think they are still working out the kinks after coming over from Australia.
Service was attentive to the point of obsessive, particularly ...
We are both 72, are experienced cruisers, and have Diamond status with Royal Caribbean. Alaska was on our bucket list and after this cruise, we can easily say that if we ever have the opportunity, we will return. The best part of the cruise was seeing the wildlife and the impressive glaciers and snow capped mountains. Having said that, the cruise itself left a few things to be desired.
Our ...
