Chose this cruise because I had friends booked on it. Also, it was an opportunity to return to CA, and then visit states I had not been to before, Oregon & Washington.
Loved the Infinity, so sad she had problems docking in Alaska! The ship was very pretty, & I liked all the public rooms, especially Constellation lounge. Great view forward, & we even saw some whales one evening while having ...
Even though we had visited most of these ports before, we loved them all and wanted to visit again. Started out staying in San Diego 3 nights before the cruise. Visited the zoo, which is a must, La Jolla, just beautiful, Coronado island, Gastown, Old Town, and would really recommend staying here as there is so much to do and see. Embarkation went smoothly and by 1:00 we were in our room. ...
My wife, daughter, and I have been on a dozen plus cruises. Timing and only flying one way were the reasons for booking this cruise.
I had read that embarkation in San Diego was not always smooth. We received an e-mail saying our arrival time was 12 noon. We parked in an offsite long term lot and the driver dropped us a little after noon where he always dropped off cruisers. However, no ...
Frequent cruisers on Celebrity but first time on Infinity, San Diego to Vancouver in Aqua class. Each timed we cruise on Celebrity we say it was our best cruise ever, and this cruise was no exception. Although we had been to the ports of call several time by car, we enjoyed visiting the ports again by sea.
We arrived in San Diego by car and embarked immediately. Embarkation was simple and ...
We had another great Celebrity cruise. Some of our "firsts" on this one: First aft cabin (love!), first time eating in the MDR for breakfast (still haven't hit a lunch!), first time we caught the Liars Club game (fun), first time as Captain's Club Elite passengers. We spent a lot of time on our balcony rather than public areas this time around because we had upgraded to a family veranda cabin and ...
I'll start by saying we are loyal Celebrity cruisers for several reasons. We are Blue Chip Club VIPs and as such they take very good care of us. This was our 6th X cruise and our first Pacific Coastal. We chose this trip based on the itinerary and not so much on the ship. We have done Alaska on Infinity and had no complaints.
Embarkation in San Diego went smoothly and we were onboard at about ...
although we had a great time on this cruise & loved the intinerrary, we were disappointed with the food among other things. the food in the buffet was really poor. we tried several times to eat there but were always upset with the food. we were not happy with the ding room food either. there were 3 or 4 nights the food was good, but not on the other 7 or 8 nights. when we complained to the head ...
Overall, it was an OK cruise. The MDR menu really need to refer to previous generations menus where there where more choices for each course. Now there are 'starters' and 'entrees'. Cabin 3130 was awesome if you are on an M class ship. Well placed for an Oceanview. Bistro on 5 needs a remake or make it free. We saw no more than 5 people in there at a time and mostly at dinner. Get real Celebrity! ...
We took the Celebrity Infinity (ship) cruise through the Panama Canal in April 2016. There's good and bad about the cruise and the company.
The ship was good - it's clean, well organized and the staff is excellent. Based on that, they would get a high ranking.
The negative about the cruise, itself, is that there's not a lot to do. There are many "at sea" days where the ship is just ...
Panama Canal always has been one of my bucket list cruises and am glad I finally saw the marvels of going through the canal but 15 days was a little too long on this older ship. What was missing was the fun factor we see on Royal Caribbean Freedom class ships and Celebrity Solstice class ships. Was excited about going to Guatemala but the pier is out in nowhere land. Costa Rica was very nice and ...
