Panama Canal always has been one of my bucket list cruises and am glad I finally saw the marvels of going through the canal but 15 days was a little too long on this older ship. What was missing was the fun factor we see on Royal Caribbean Freedom class ships and Celebrity Solstice class ships. Was excited about going to Guatemala but the pier is out in nowhere land. Costa Rica was very nice and along with 60 some other Cruise Critic people we hired 3 mini buses on. a Costa Rico 10 for 1 tour for only around $68 for an all day tour of many favorite attractions. Mexico City ports pretty much the same with great beaches and snorkeling. Watch your pwrsonal belongings as we had some thefts.
Canal experience was awesome and the ship had excellent speakers that were most knowledgeable about the canal. Was disappointed that the new canal, 30% wider, was not completed but it is expected to be finished soon. They already had 1 ship go through on a trial run. Had never been to CURACAO and it was a very pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed the island and you are not hassled to buy items like most other Caribbean islands.
Ship entertainment was average. We ate in BLU restaurant because we had Aqua class rooms and it was an excellent restaurant with excellent service. Besides going through the canal it was the highlight of our cruise.
Very clean and a great room attendant. Shower small but always good pressure. Tipped extra at end of cruise and he really deserved it.
Nice beaches and good snorkeling. Be careful with personal items.
Better than Cabo.
Nothing to do at pier you must take a costly tour unless you schedule one on your own. Disappointed as I hadnever been there. Expensive tours to see stone ruins.
Mentioned in my opening review. Costa Rica is a hreat country to visit amd very reasonable.
Very clean similar to the Dutch side of St. Martin. Enjoyed a nice meal by the water. Fe
T very safe here.
One of my favorite cities. If a foodie like us you will love it. Be sure to go to the Navy aircraft carrier USS Midway right downtown.
