Carnival San Juan Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Worst experience ever on the Valor; will never sail on Carnival again

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Valor

I almost don't know where to start. But before I do, I'll say that I've never written a negative review for a cruise, a hotel, a restaurant, or any establishment that provides service. We sailed as a couple and though we've only been on one other cruise, we regularly take vacations in Europe and the US including Hawaii and the Caribbean. We like outdoor activities like snorkeling, hiking, and ...

We all arrived on Friday April 12th in San Juan. It was great to start our vacation enjoying old San Juan first. Sheraton Old San Juan was great and close to port. Enjoy the free white open air shuttle around town. Arriving on our ship Sunday afternoon we found our stateroom clean as always and always love a balcony room. This is where we had our first blip though, our cabin steward , John ,on ...

Don't Hesitate!

Booked on the Valor with much hesitation as we're usually RCL cruisers, but the price and southern Caribbean itinerary was just too good to pass up. We arrived in San Juan the day prior and stayed at the Marriott Courtyard Miramar. Good hotel for a short night. Our flight arrived late so we slept in and got a late check out courtesy of my MR Platinum status. The hotel recommended lunch at Los ...

(This will be a long review, sorry) We went on this cruise with another couple, booked through a travel agent in his home town. We originally booked the lowest level balcony, but Carnival offered an upgrade sale that we took advantage of to get closer to their suite on Deck 9. It's nice up there by the bridge. We stayed 3 nights in San Juan prior to the cruise, and really enjoyed our time ...

I booked a 7 night carnival cruise aboard the valor for an April 14th departure. The ports of call were all places both of us wanted to visit: St Thomas, Barbados, St Lucia, St Kitts, and St Martin. Air: We both work for Delta Air Lines so we flew to SJU the morning of our cruise. We also had read that a cab would take you to the port for $20 plus $1 for each piece of luggage. The cab was ...

Pleasant Surprise

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We are not cruisers and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised from the time we got to the port to the time we departed. We were checked in quickly and in our cabin in 20 minutes. We had a private balcony room which was spacious enough for the two of us and all of our stuff (and we have a lot of stuff). Cabin We were happy with our cabin, which ...

I traveled with 4 good friends and I planned all of the activities and accommodations. Three of us had sailed on the Valor previously. We flew in on red eye flights Friday night, with Saturday morning arrivals, for four of us and the final friend joined us Saturday afternoon. The San Juan airport is nice and easy to get around. We met up (two different flights and mine was delayed) at baggage ...

Carnival Valor service dissappointment

Thirty of us planned a Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Valor. I am a gold member, so I have been on Carnival several times. We chose the Valor because of the itinerary and it was not a disappointment. However, the service in the Washington Lower dining room was another story. Apparently Carnival has cut back half of the dining staff for whatever reason. The service was horrible. Normally ...

Carnival Valor--Not the Worst, But Definitely Not the Best

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Valor

I used to be a fan of Carnival Cruises, but I'm not anymore. And, no, I wasn't a passenger on the ill-fated Carnival Triumph. In fact, I was so much of a fan of Carnival (based on past cruises) that I agreed when my husband went ahead and booked our vacation on the Carnival Valor IN SPITE OF the troubles that their ships seemed to be having lately. I wanted desperately to give them the benefit ...

Four of us, 2 couples in the vicinity of 50, took a cruise on the Carnival Valor, departing from San Juan, in March 2013. Two of us, my wife and I, have cruised before with Princess. My wife's sister and her husband were first time cruisers. Flight We flew from Dayton to San Juan via Air Tran. We connected through Baltimore BWI and had about a 3 hour layover. We were surprised to find ...
