Not Quite Epic, But Worthwhile
"Bringing Back some of the traditions we love about Holland America:
Lunch in the Main Dining Room on embarkation day, the Captain’s Brunch for 4- and 5-star Mariners, (with the traditional “dam ships” toast and tiles), chocolates at night and towel critters at least on gala nights.The Ports:

As one of Holland America’s Legendary Cruises (and also as one of the most expensive), the Voyage of the Vikings on the Zuiderdam, which sailed July 22-August 26, 2023, should have been nothing short of epic. It fell short of that goal, but was still very good and certainly worthwhile.

This was our 6th HAL cruise. Our interest in this crossing was sparked by the interesting ports (Cork, Waterford, Torquay, and Dover) in Ireland and the UK. Choose this cruise for its itinerary. Ireland / Iceland / Greenland, wow.
All cruises have their plus and minuses.

Second trans-atlantic on the Zdam, and it was great again. The ship is in good shape, and the service is full, efficient, and happily delivered.
