Two lower beds convertible to 1 queen-size bed, bathroom with dual-sink vanity, full-size whirlpool bath & shower & additional shower stall, large sitting area, , private verandah, 1 sofa bed for 1 person, floor-to-ceiling windows. Approximately 372–384 sq. ft. including verandah.
These are about to be refurbished, but we knew, from the same cabin on the Oosterdam a few months ago what the changes will be like. The layout of this cabin is, IMO, the best we've ever had (that goes to all SS/SY on these ships). The SS are a bit more expensive due to a lower, more favorable location than the SY's that sometimes have noise from above. Having 2 sinks, and two desks is a plus, in addition to the wider verandah. When refitted in Oct. '17, they will be even better with the outstanding new lighting, large screen TV that will go over the couch, and overall design, though the layout will remain the same. This cabin, 6064, was a great location and was quiet, and had the best stewards (Komang and Rinaldy) we've ever had. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was nice size, bathroom good, loved the balcony and sat out whenever the weather was good. Bad, however, was its location - right across from the noisy crew gathering dishes, and starting very early in the morning to do their work. Read entire member review >>
First time in an SS after paid upgrade offer Loved the larger veranda and the double sinks A LOT!!! Although I'm 5'9" and 145 pounds and my husband is 6'2" and 175, we had a hard time with the small size of the second shower and kept banging our elbows. (I know "Oh Whah!" second shower? on a cruise ship? and you're complaining?!?) Read entire member review >>
Centrally located, quiet cabin. We could hear some carts several times a day on the Lido deck above us, but since the only activity on the Lido deck on this ship was shopping during the day, there was not much cabin noise from above. Read entire member review >>
Clean, comfortable bed, quiet, not as much storage as other cabins of same type. Constant wet spot on floor near door. Bathroom looked old and tired, but kept clean. Toiletries not refilled after first set used, no lotion ever. Arrangement of furnishings a little awkward. Read entire member review >>
Large, clean and comfortable. Whirlpool tub and separate shower. Balcony fit a table with two chairs, and two recliners with another small table. Very quiet location. View window over the desk, plus large sliding door; light and bright during the day. Read entire member review >>
The size and layout of this cabin were more than adequate. Of particular interest was the availability of a 120 volt outlet near the head of the bed. This allowed plugging in a CPAP without having to run an extension cord across the floor creating a trip hazard. Read entire member review >>
The room is spacious for 2 adults. It is about 372 square feet. The bathroom has a double sink which is nice. One thing I like about the Signature Suite (Superior Verandah Suite) is there is Jacuzzi tub with hand held shower, and also a separate shower stall. The products in the bathroom are from Elmis. They are wonderful and have a great smell of peppermint and spearmint. Read entire member review >>
Room was very good with good size balcony. Located in AFT of the ship and was close to a elevator which we could take to arrive very near the restraunt for evening dining. No noise problems
One in our party did use wheelchair. Crew very accomodating in helping to push wheelchair when in dining room, helping to carry food tray in Lido Cafeteria. They did provide assistance during disembarkation. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was a Superior Veranda on deck 8 mid-ship. I really like this type room for the extra width (rather than length) that it provides. It feels very comfortable and uncrowded. There was plenty of space for in cabin breakfast room service. The veranda was nicely equipped with two chairs and footstools plus a table with 2 chairs. This cabin, and the entire ship for that matter seemed a little chilly and beyond the ability of the room thermostat to marginally control. The dry-docking did provide our cabin with a new and fresh carpet, Bed and linens were of high quality and comfortable. This room also had a double sink, and a shower separate from a tube with jacuzzi. There were minor chips and spots on the cabinets and walls which were normal wear and tear on a ship this age. Superior Veranda - Great balcony (four chairs - one large table). Three tall closets, under bed storage, and large bathroom storage shelf. Comfortable bed, six pillows (soft, med, hard). Large couch. Quality bed linens. Tasteful room decor/colors. Two chairs - not very comfortable. Small desk area. Only two outlets in main cabin. One non-polarized outlet in bathroom. Heavy, quality towels. Professional and courteous cabin stewards. Room service was timely and food was good. Read entire member review >>
Very large with plenty of storage. Bath was great with whirlpool tub and stall shower. Two sinks with lots of storage. Bed and linens were very nice. Full size couch. Great balcony. In a quite location. Read entire member review >>
rusty balcony; door rusty (outside). Plus point, plenty of privacy.
breakfast table pitted and scarred and well overdue for replacement
rattan cane furniture generally good but beginning to unravel on legs. stuffing coming out of split cushion
bit on the dull side (light absorbing beige colour used on walls); PLENTY of space and storage space - excellent in this regard; inner vestibule curtained off, so no light or noise from outside and if you went to the bathroom overnight, you could use the light without disturbing your partner. Carpet was badly stained in parts. Comfy beds. Plenty of work surfaces and desk space. Excellent in terms of space and size. Read entire member review >>
Superior Verandah Suite (cat SY) - a large Queen bed (which could be 2 singles) and an excellent Single bed (from sofa but very comfortable)and plenty of space for 3 adults. Shower and separate bath with good plentiful supplies of body wash, shampoo & conditioner (no need to bring your own)and a Double sink. We used the shower over the bath as it gave us more room. The balcony was spacious for all 3 of us to be on it at the same time. There is room in the safe for an iPad (Mk1)in case and plenty of space in the cupboards and various drawers (including 2 under the bed). We put all our suitcases under the bed. It was kept clean and had adequate outlets for charging cameras etc though we did use a power strip as we had a lot of equipment. Read entire member review >>
Cabin SY 6104 was a quiet location, convenient to aft and mid elevators. At times the whole hallway would smell of cooking odors (garlic, fish, meat) but it did not last long and only a couple times invaded our cabin. Storage was ample with lots of hangers. Read entire member review >>
Superior Suite #6062. It is located port side, amidships and has a spacious balcony equipped with a full-size table and chairs and two lounges. Plenty of room around the furniture and King size (two doubles together) bed which is high enough to have no problem fitting your luggage under. Two sinks in a generous-sized bath with separate tub and shower. Plenty of storage with three closets and numerous drawers including large ones hidden behind the duvet under the foot of the bed. Quiet location mid-way between the elevators.
We immediately noticed that the shock absorber on the bathroom door was broken and reported it to our concierge. It remained untended for the duration. Read entire member review >>
6113...bring ear plugs...cabin rattles, groans and pops in anything other than high seas. Super convenient location near rear elevator stack...but bump out 3 cabins aft blocks a direct view to the stern. Read entire member review >>
Very spacious cabin, lots of wardrobe space. Bath and separate shower was really good. Jacuzzi bath. Good location for lifts. Good size balcony. Good selection of TV stations. Nicest cabin we have ever had. Read entire member review >>
We Stayed in an SY Suite 6099, was very spacious, had more room than we needed, never even used the drawers, used the shelves in closet. We were just shy of mid-ship portside on the 6th level/upper veranda. Bathroom was also very large, had two sinks, whirlpool tub/shower along with an addional shower stall. Large Blacony as well, had two chairs and a table as well as two lounge chairs. Very quite room, never heard any neighbors, there were no rooms across the hall from us, and very rarely ever heard anyone in the hallway, overall a great location and room, would reserve again in a heart beat.
