Two lower beds convertible to 1 king-size bed, bathroom with dual sink vanity, full-size whirlpool bath, shower and additional shower stall, large sitting area, dressing room, private verandah, 1 sofa bed for 2 persons, floor-to-ceiling windows. Approximately 500–712 sq. ft. including verandah.
The location of our cabin was great - deck 7, right down the hall from the Neptune Lounge.
Yes, the room is a bit dated, but it was always clean and in great condition. Our cabin stewards were very attentive and knew what we needed. We had 3 adults in the room, and every night the sofa was made up into the bed when we got back from dinner. Every morning it was put back when we got back from breakfast. The room was spacious and immaculate. the bed was very comfortable and the couch was fine for relaxing on to watch the tiny tv or to sit on to eat from the coffee table. The bathroom had double sinks, a small shower and a small jetted tub along with 2 small medicine cabinets and plenty of counter space. It worked out perfectly for the 2 of us. The dressing area off the bathroom was very workable and I kept all of my cosmetics, clothes, and shoes in this area and used it for getting ready. It is open to the hallway door though, so I had to remember to keep the curtain drawn. But the Wrap Balcony was the highlight! It was huge and had a table with 4 comfortable chairs, 2 loungers and 2 additional chairs with adjustable backs and footrests. The only drawback is the piece of equipment that lives there on the corner. We didn't mind it but it is a bit of an eyesore, particularly with the rust issues that the Zuiderdam is plagued with. It's also a bit of a walk to the Neptune Lounge, but to us the balcony was far more important than the lounge. We loved this site and would book it or one of the Deck 5 corners if we cruised this class again. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was on the 6th deck on the back of the ship. It had a large balcony, lots of closet and drawer space, and, since it was at the end of the hallway, very quiet. The room was a sliding glass door, as well as a good sized window; so, it was also very bright. However, there were darkening drapes that could be pulled, too. Especially nice was having the dressing table with good mirrors outside of the bathroom. Only disappointment was that the balcony had not been cleaned from the previous use. Glad we had Clorox wipes.
