The cabin was spacious, once we had shifted a table and armchair out of the way. It was no different from a standard balcony room but suite gratuities were charged. (These can be adjusted two days before departure.) The bed was very comprtable with an embarrassment of pillows, there was ample storage and the rather dated bathroom contained a tiny jacuzzi bath. Bath robes were provided.The balcony had a lounger, which we did not want but which had to stay and one chair. We asked for and received a second chair. Always clean and tidy. Always with bottled water and ice. Always kept clean. Jacuzzi tub did not work for the first two weeks but when I mentioned it, it was fixed right away. Towels were replaced when needed. We are clean cruisers and try not to make a mess, so we were impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Laundry service was quick and excellent.

Stateroom 7088, MS Zaandam: It's a great room with terrific port side viewing from the verandah. It needs a new couch, the one in there is uncomfortable and old. The bathroom wash basin faucet needs a new seal, it has a tendency to not shut off water flow completely. One of the verandah glass panes is broken and unsightly and needs replacement. The bed was comfortable! The storage space and passing space was better than most cabins due to the wheelchair accessibility. We liked our proximity to the aft decks and dining. The verandah allows partial aft viewing, and great port side viewing and is bigger than other staterooms nearby. The cabin itself was great. Lots of room and storage and we spent a lot of time on the balcony. The only negative was the noise produced on the Lido deck above us-just outside the sliding doors connecting the Lido eating area with the aft deck. This is a regular size port size veranda cabin near the aft. Location was good as the ship is not too large and near the aft elevators. We had a problem with the veranda door- it did not latch at all. This was not acceptable as the door bumped open all night. Guest Services said that engineering had fixed it but not true. Steward said he reported it again but we had to insist on him moving up our problem. The Assistant Director of Housekeeping arrived- followed by Security and Maintenance managers. All fixed very soon after- with apologies and wine left for us. We felt that Guest Services was too quick to dismiss our problem but the escalation solved the problem. Our verandah level stateroom smelled stale and musty on entering and had to be re-cleaned, with an ozone machine being used to eliminate some odors. The bathroom was right out of the 70's, complete with peach/pink tiles and a wall mounted hair dryer usually found only in museums. A drain in the bathroom floor had to be opened and cleaned to eliminate sewer gases. Cabin 6211 and 6213 - We loved the jacuzzi tub! What a wonderful suprise. The sitting area was comfortable and I appreciated the sit down vanity.
This cabin was close to the back of the ship, the elevator and only two floors down to the dining room. Very centrally located to the internet cafe and library.

Cat B veranda cabin 6116. Forward port side. Cabin is long and narrow (22x10) with good sized veranda (6x10). Some motion due to being forward and can get some spray. Quiet location but near elevators and stairs. Read entire member review >>
Above the auditorium; you can hear the show at night. We used earplugs and/or a white noise CD and had no problems.
