This is the forward-most cabin on the starboard side, lowest deck. It is a odd-shaped handicapped room but I would not say a wheelchair or scooter could fit into it. It is a typical room with a very small "sitting" room off the bedroom that has two chairs and a table. We used it once. The bathroom is set up for someone to sit in the shower if need be, and there are handles on the wall to hold onto to get off the toilet. Past reviews mentioned the anchor noise is an issue but my thought was they only use the anchor when you have to tender, which we didn't do the whole cruise so we never heard the anchor line at all. There is a little more movement in this cabin because it is the most forward cabin on that deck but if you don't mind a little "motion of the ocean" it is great for sleeping! My biggest complaint is lack of electrical outlets, but I heard there is a lack of them throughout all the cabins on the ship. I use a cpap machine and they had to bring in an extension cord that we had to run from the night table to the desk near the door so we had to make sure we didn't trip over it. Also there are no reading lights that you can use to read in bed. Oh, and the tv is about a 15- inch size and takes up all of the desk top along with a dvd player. It would be nice if they would put in larger tvs and mount them to the wall and implement on demand movies. It is an older ship that just got out of dry dock and all the public areas are very nice but I heard even the neptune suites that did get revamped still have the 15-inch tvs with dvrs :-( There were two huge wardrobes in this cabin so plenty of storage space. The portholes: It looked like there were 4 of them when I looked at the ship plan, but there were only two and they were behind the bed where there was a large shelf about 4 feet long with the portholes at the end of the shelf, so you were never able to get right up to them to look out but this was not a huge problem. We just wanted to be able to look out and see what the weather was like in the mornings. Bottom line though is you really don't spend that much time in your cabin and the ship is beautiful so I would book this cabin again, it was nice and quiet! Read Less

Extremely small with limited access to portholes. No refrigerator, limited storage. Ridiculous to classify this as an upgrade.

Perfect location. Easy access to deck when something interesting to view. Close to elevators for dining and entertainment. Take stacking luggage, no place for cases under bed but plenty of space in closet.

A fairly spacious cabin with plenty of storage room. It had a bath and shower but the tiles were starting to come away from the wall in the bathroom but were quickly repaired.

This is a very nicely appointed cabin with lots of storage. It had one of the most comfortable beds we had encountered. A DVD player is included and DVDs are available from the library. Only one electrical outlet is available. Please note that the viewing area is composed of two dinner plate sized port holes, with difficult access due to the bed arrangement. Also, HAL has bath tubs with a shower. The bath tub may cause problems for elderly of mobility impaired passengers. We thought the tub was a very odd choice considering the age of a typical HAL passenger. The location is extremely convenient for the showroom and for access to the gangway. The ship is small, so the front desk is not too distant. You will have your longest walk to the dining room and buffet areas. The ship's elevator system is excellent. Read Less
What a disappointment : Cabin 3301

Cabin is much smaller than the Holland America website suggests. There is no sofa, only a single chair. The walls are a bit offset, resulting in a non-rectangular cabin. When the beds are together, this results in about 6 inches of clearance along one side of the bed. The port holes are OK, but a full-size interior cabin would be preferable. There is some noise when the anchor is dropped but that's to be expected. What was surprising was the loud "thump" of the water hitting the hull during a night of moderately rough seas. It was enough to wake me up on several occasions. The bathroom, however, is a good size. There is a full-sized bathtub. We have never had that on a cruise ship before. Read Less

Lots of closet room, curtain between closet area and bedroom. Bath is dated but has real bath tub and good shower pressure. Some black mold around shower and tub. Beds are comfy. Bring power strip for electronics as there is only one outlet in state room. Dated hair dryer in bath, bring your own. This deck is underneath walking deck, so it did get noisy, but we weren't in the room that much, so it didn't matter. Some ship engine noise toward the end of the cruise. Stateroom is showing signs of wear and tear. Porthole for viewing. Nothing special but cheap! Read Less
