*Cabin person entered cabin (last morning) between 7:00 to 7:30 AM and made the bed, put fresh linens in bathroom all while we were at breakfast. Our personal belongings were not fully packed for departure and we were not finished with the bathroom, etc. How unsanitary for the arriving guests. He also left the arriving guest names and their Signature Beverage package cards on the desk. So much for privacy! Read Less

Very spacious; never been in ocean view room! Because we booked only a month in advance, the ocean view was same cost as interior room. Nice to have a view without leaving the room.

We had an outside cabin with a newly renovated bathroom which was great. We are not fond of HAL's room setup and prefer Princess design better. HAL hallway into the room was cramped with the closet setup. Did not like having to stand up to turn the change on the tv. The bed was under the window and in Alaska you still get a lot of daylight coming in under the drapes. Read Less

We had adjoining ocean view rooms on Deck 2. Our rooms were decent size and the location was great. I'm prone to motion sickness and did fairly well being in the center of the boat on a lower deck. The only complaint I had about our state room was the bathroom was dated. It served its function, but it wasn't necessarily the place I wanted to spend a lot of time. Read Less

We booked two adjoining cabins for our family and were delighted with the layout and space by doing so. The cabins were extremely well noise-insulated otherwise, but with the ability to open the internal door gave us more room on this long cruise. We deliberately chose cabins that were between two other passenger cabin decks (Main deck) and that were low down near mid-ships to minimize the effect of the roaring 40s and Drake Passage (which was thankfully calm). Highly recommend this area of the ship and we never heard people on the promenade deck above these cabins. The bathroom is a little dated and the TV could be replaced again (even though it was the Signature of Excellence updates), but generally the ship is charming and not showing its age. Its not a 2017 ship nor is it a mega-ship, but it feels like an old ocean liner and is comfortable. Read Less
