Cabin 2613

There is only ONE outlet in the cabin. Not feasible for today's technology. Lighting was dim and not well placed for doing hair or putting on makeup. The bathroom had mildew stains. The AC and toilet malfunctioned but was quickly fixed. Size was as expected...small but laid out well.

Great Experience on HAL By: nana2many
For us, a cabin is just a place to sleep and prepare for our activities aboard and on shore. The size was adequate. The bedding was brand new and very comfortable. The decor was not particularly memorable. There was sufficient closet space. First time we have not had and in room refrigerator/mini bar. We were told they were only in higher class staterooms. It was a bit of a nuisance for us since my husband's insulin must be refrigerated. We were told we could "rent" a fridge for a nominal fee, but that just struck me as odd, as well as the dilemma of where would they put it? So I took them up on the recommendation to keep it in the medical facility fridge and make a daily visit to pick up a new vial. It worked out OK.

2609 Zaandam Midship inside. Clean and spacious, well ventilated, but it did have a constant noise. I think we were near something like water or sewer plant on the ship and there was a constant hum even when the ship was docked. We slept through it but it was slightly annoying. However we were on a ship and it has various parts to it that makes it unlike a hotel and that I guess is part of the experience. Cabin steward were wonderful.

Quiet, spacious and 'homey'. I liked the sideways position.

Compact and quiet, sufficient closet and drawer space, bathroom clean but had a sewer type smell. Lighting insufficient for reading and paper work.
