1-8 of 8 Windstar Wind Spirit Cruise Reviews for Senior to the Caribbean
I am leaving this review to help people who have maybe looked at Windstar, but are unsure or unable to find much information outside of their website. I had been looking for months for a special trip for us, and I did as much research as i could before choosing Windstar. My boyfriend and I chose this cruise for a special anniversary trip. And my goodness, it was the best trip we have ever taken! ...
We were enchanted with the ship and the crew from the moment we boarded. We knew that this was not in the true "luxury" class of ships but really wanted something small and intimate, and this was exactly the right trip for us. The trip was advertised as the "Yachtman's Caribbean" and truly, it was. Basically, it's island hopping with swimming and snorkeling during the day, drinks and food at ...
We sailed on the Wind Spirit from 2 Feb - 9 Feb from Bridgetown to Bridgetown. The itinerary was "Jewels of the Windward Isles".
As this was our first cruise ever I have no point of reference to compare anything against. Being on a small boat we did feel the swells, especially on the run from Barbados to St. Lucia where you are essentially in open ocean. Being on the bottom deck it was kind of ...
Notes on the Cabin:
• Plenty of room
• Space under bed for all luggage
• Lots of hangers, drawers, cubbies
• Safe is pretty small. Holds iPad but not laptop.
• There is always ice provided morning & night
• Mini bar & sodas in the room (for a fee)
• Evian water in the room ($3.25 a bottle. We drank a lot!)
• Laundry line in the shower
• Regular shower & handheld
• ...
My husband and I just got back from a seven day cruise on Wind Star. We had not been on the ship before but have cruised on Oceania and Royal Caribbean. As with any cruise there is the good and the bad.
The good news was the cabin was nice. The bathrooms were clean and the shower had two heads. The bose ipod speaker was great and the plasma tv was nice. The only really bad thing about ...
This is a belated review of our marvelous Wind Spirit Caribbean voyage round trip out of St. Thomas in January 2008. It was a wonderful travel experience in all respects.
I traveled with my sister, who flew to St. Thomas from her home in Hawaii; I live on Whidbey Island, WA, and flew out of Seattle. We arrived two days before our cruise began in order to have a rest after our long red-eye ...
We posted this last year but trip advisor didn't have a "cruise review". I happened to still have this saved, so I thought I'd try to save other travelers from wasting money! The caribbean is beautiful and we'd definitely try another cruise there, but this time on Royal Caribbean (see my Mexico Monarch of the Seas review)....
We went on a one week St. Thomas cruise to 7 other little islands in ...
Having cruised a number of times before (10+) and having cruised on Wind Star previously (two times), we approach this review with a non-biased and (hopefully) open mind.
We made our reservations through Cruises of Distinction which doesn't really have an interactive web site, but, rather, relies on telephone service. They are great to work with and have rates that match or beat any we could ...
